Space Hop Summer Reading Challenge

Its the last chance to take part in Space Hop, the Summer Reading Challenge at Jersey Library. Children have until Saturday 11th September to complete the challenge and earn their medal and certificate.
To complete the challenge children muat read six books during the summer holidays and tell staff at the Library about the books they've read. Stickers can be collected with every book read.
When the sixth book is finished children receive a Space Hop glow-in-the-dark wristband and Space Hop medal and certificate which will be given out at their School assembly during the autumn term.
Children that complete Space Hop are entered into a prize draw, with prizes awarded at the winners event on Wednesday 6th October. The night includes entertainment from Chicano the magician, and Bambola Toymaster are giving away the prizes.
Vintage Fair

The Vintage Fair takes place at St Brelade's Parish Hall, St Aubin on Saturday 11th September, between 10am-6pm.
There will be stalls selling items from the 1900's to the 1980's including country furniture, studio pottery, silver and glass. There will also be toys, books, collectibles and french 'shabby chic' items for the home.

Fete Des Dolmens

Jersey Heritage are inviting you to delve into the Island's history and take part in the Fete des Dolmens. Its a day long tour on Saturday 18th September which will explore the Island's megalithic monuments.
Tickets cost £20 for adults and £15 for Jersey Heritage members and Gold Card holders. Just £6 for Students and Children.

The morning will be spent in the eastern parishes at Le Couperon, La Pouquelaye de Faldouët and Mont Ubé with a picnic en route. Then heading west to Ville és Nouaux, La Sergenté, Les Mont de Grantez and the Great, Little and Broken menhirs in the sand dunes.
Olga Finch, Jersey Heritage Curator of Archaeology, will act as tour guide and give everyone a souvenir folder to take home.

Round The Island Motorcycle Rally

Headway Jersey and the Jersey School of Motorcycling are holding the Round The Island Motorcycle Rally on the 19th September and registration will start shortly for those intrested in taking part again this year.
The organisers are fisrtly looking to the people of Jersey for some raffle prizes. Anything from Hampers to Holiday vouchers or Hotel stays to Spar days... It doesn't need to be bike related.

The 2010 Channel 103 Biggest Ever Car Boot Sale
The 2010 Channel 103 Biggest Ever Car Boot Sale will take place at Fort Regent on Sunday 17 October, from 9.00am - 2.00pm in conjunction with the Rotary Club de la Manche. It's going to Bigger than before with around 140 pitches. All proceeds will be going to the Jersey Christmas Appeal.
The cost remains the same as last year at £12 per "pitch" including a supplied table.
This year the layout has been altered and to comply with fire regulations.
Clothing rails will only be permitted if set up in place of a table, or at the cost of an extra space, and must not block the walkways. This means if you have a table, you can't take a clothes rail unless you pay for another space.
As this is a community event, the organisers have decided that commercial operators will be not allowed.
To book tables, please email jcappeal@gmail.com. There are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first-come first served basis. Set up will be at pre-arranged times on the previous day.

St Martin's Musical Society presents A Night Of Musical Temptation in aid of charity Help A Jersey Child.
It will take place on Tuesday 19th to Saturday 23rd October and will include many old and new songs. Including four popular scenes as well as an entire scene dedicated to Oliver.
It will run nightly from 8pm with the Saturday matinee starting at 2.30pm. Tickets will cost £14 and £10 on the opening night and the matinee.
