Les Freres toddler group is a voluntary, non-profit making group, run by parents during term time. A safe place to play for the children and a great opportunity for parents and carers to meet and make new friends.

ULTIMATE TRIATHLON

Starting at 6.30am at the Weighbridge, Marc Burton and Paul Coundley will row, cycle and walk around the Island in one continuous 36 hour period.
Starting at 6am on Saturday the guys will simulate rowing around the Island on machines, they will then jump on bikes and cycle around the island before walking the established 48mile course on foot to finish sometime on the Sunday afternoon.
This is an incredibly demanding physical challenge. Please come along to the weighbridge on the morning of Saturday the 19th or the afternoon of the Sunday 20th to show your support or give the guys a cheer if they pass your way.

Jersey Mencap South Coast Charity Challenge - Sunday 20th May 2012. A 15 mile hike along the beautiful south coast of Jersey. Starting point is La Rocque - courtesy bus back at finish line. Registration available Mon,Tue, Wed 14-16th May at Mayfair Hotel, St Helier from 12.00 to 6.30pm or you can register on the day. Reminder to all those already registered to collect their walkers pack from Mayfair Hotel from midday-6.30 on 14th-16th May. All proceeds will be used to support people with a learning disability in Jersey.

Jersey Hospice is holding a tennis tournament and lunch
All abilities welcome. There will be a round robin preliminary round followed by a quarterfinals knockout. This year, the finals will be held after a delicious lunch at Les Pommieres in St Lawrence.
There will also be a raffle with prizes including a weeks stay in a luxury apartment in Cyprus and a private boat trip to the Minquiers. Raffle tickets are £5 each.

Queen's Jubilee events

Ten Jersey parishes are arranging parties for the Queen's Jubilee.
Events will take place over the long bank holiday weekend at the beginning of June.
Only St Saviour and St Lawrence are not planning formal celebrations.
There's a range of events elsewhere though, from daylight fireworks at a BBQ in St Martin, to a sit down lunch for 500 in St John.
These are in addition to the events being organised by the Bailiff's office, which include a food fair and concert.
Here's what Channel 103 has been told is happening in the parishes:

The Homemade Jersey Craft fair

Variety Bikeathon

Organised by Friends of Variety, this is a charity event for all ages. There will be a welcoming speech by Robyn Lapidus, Chief Barker, and the first session will start at 10am.
There will be 5 teams per session, each team having 5 team members (4 cyclists and 1 non cycling captain), cycling around the circumference of People's Park in 15 minute sessions starting on the hour and every half hour.

In aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The organisers are looking for stalls like handmade textiles, arts and crafts, homemade jams and chutneys, plants and vegetables. They are also looking for donations for the raffle and would like to hear from any businesses who can offer their support.

Dragon Boat Festival

It's great fun and a great way to raise money for charity. The registration fee is £450, which covers the cost of staging the event. Teams taking part are also asked to raise a minimum of £500 (an equivalent of just £25 per person, based on a team of 20) which goes directly to Jersey Hospice Care, helping them to carry on with the extraordinary work that they do.
