Premier Petanque Competition

Saturday 29th - Sunday 30th April 2017

This coming weekend the Jersey Petanque Club holds the island’s premier petanque competition.
Played over two days, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm it attracts competitors from England, France, Guernsey and many locals.
 A total of 130 players will be taking part.  With petanque being the fastest growing sport in the Island there will also be a number of new teams.

Caring Cooks of Jersey at Reasons festival 2017

Reasons to be grateful is a family focused music event taking place from 11am at Howard Davies park and Caring Cooks will be in attendance, complete within some fantastic food related activities lined up for all the family.

There will be live cookery demonstrations, interactive sessions for children including healthy wrap making, cup cake decorating and healthy sundae making. Story time with guest story tellers, and for the little ones there is a painting area where they can take part in herb brush painting and vegetable printing. There’s also face and nail painting and tea coffee and cup cake sales and a raffle

We will be unveiling our amazing smoothie bike and inviting festival goes to jump on and mix up a delicious smoothie with pedal power alone.

There will be a retiring collection in support of the Jersey Alzheimer’s Association.

Dog Walk

In aid of the JSPCA and The Company of dogs at St Ouen’s beach at noon, meeting at La Braye Car Park.

A suggested donation of £5 per person to complete the walk, with a raffle at the end of the walk. Water and crisps available along the way, with dog biscuits for the dogs.

Fojo Festival Of Music

“Fojo” music festival this Sunday at The Troubadour and Blue Note, from 1pm until 11pm.

Live music all day with bands including, Take This, The Outpatients, Howl, The Cryptics and many more.

Entrance fee is £5 and provides unlimited access to both venues.
All proceeds raised go to the friends of Jersey Oncology Charity, supporting cancer patients in jersey through treatment and post treatment.

CRY Jersey Western Walkathon

Raising funds to support our refugee work in Athens and Turkey. There will be 3 different distances 21 miles, 13 miles and  the a shorter 6 mile walk which is aimed at families with children. Prizes for best fancy dress (optional) Enjoy the walk which ever distance you choose and know you are raising funds to change a child’s life.

All walks start and finish at the first layby on Victoria Avenue. Registration is £10 adult, £5 child. Adults will receive a T-shirt and all walkers will receive refreshments on route and a medal and certificate on completion.

Cry Jersey Walkathon

Teams needed…

This year in addition to the usual 21 & 13 mile options there will be a 6 mile fancy dress walk. This will be a team event and we are inviting participants to think of a theme, roaring 20’s, super hero’s etc. there will be a prize for the most unusual and creative team. The 6 mile walk is from West park to St Aubin and back and complimentary cakes and refreshments will be served at the finish line.

Funds raised will go to support our Refugee Program
