DNA Test Dog Mess?

13th October 2015

Dog mess in Jersey could be DNA tested to try and catch the owners who don’t pick up after their pets.

A public consultation is asking for suggestions of how to crack down on people who drop litter or allow their dogs to foul the pavements.

Constable Len Norman says DNA testing is expensive, and funding it would be an issue.

Higher fines are an option, along with giving more parish officials the power to confront culprits.

A online survey will be open until the end of the year.
