Condor Ship ‘Is Suitable’
A report has found the Condor Liberation is safe, stable and suitable for our waters.
That is the conclusion of independent naval engineers who have studied the ship.
The States of Jersey and Guernsey ordered the review of the Liberation following numerous delays, technical issues, passenger complaints and safety concerns.
It has confirmed the vessel is ‘well-built and suited to operating in the English Channel’.
It says teething problems were to be expected, but does suggest some changes to improve punctuality.
The governments of both islands and the ferry firm have welcome the findings.
Condor says it will implement the recommendations.
