Only The Best Photos Of Trees Wanted

13th August 2017

Islanders are again being challenged to take the best photos of a tree. The Trees We Love Competition is looking for shots to put in next year’s calendar.

Amateur photographers can enter and there’ll be three winners and three runners up in each of the two age categories.

Vanessa Crispini-Adams is the Guernsey Trees For Life Education Officer, she has released this statement:

“Everyone benefits from trees, woods and forests in so many ways, from providing food, shelter and materials to the oxygen we need to take each breathe.  Trees grace and enhance our Guernsey landscapes, streets, schools and gardens and it is easy to take them for granted.  However, many people treasure a particular tree, hedgerow or treescape and this competition gives people the opportunity to share their love of trees and get creative at the same time.  The Trees We Love photographic competition is a great summer holiday project for families as we have both adult and junior categories.  We have fabulous photographers in the islands of all ages and it is always exciting seeing the entries come in”.

For more information about the competition and to receive a copy of the terms and conditions, please email education@jerseytreesforlife.org. The closing date for entries is Monday 25th September.
