174 Homes For St Helier Site?

13th October 2015

Plans for a housing development in the north of St Helier have been scaled down slightly.

More than 170 new homes could be built near the Co-op Grande Marche.

Permission is now being sought to demolish a warehouse, office and commercial unit and to build 174 new homes off La Rue le Masurier, with 191 parking spaces

Previously the plans had been for an extra seven flats and space for another nine cars.

Likely constraints are the fact it is already a built-up area, surrounded by busy roads.

Two nearby sites have already been earmarked for development. Permission has been granted for 140 new homes on the Ann Court site, and nearly 300 at Gas Place.
